Physical Certification

Important: Your selected program includes hands-on work at height (rooftops, ladders), lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs., use of hand and power tools, and exposure to heat and direct sunlight. You must honestly certify your ability to meet these physical demands.

By checking each item below, you certify under penalty of disqualification that the following statements are true to the best of your knowledge as of the date of this application:

I am physically able to safely access, work on, and descend from residential and commercial rooftops using ladders and roof-walking techniques. I do not have a diagnosed or unmanaged fear of heights (acrophobia) that would prevent me from safely performing rooftop work. I am able to safely handle and operate standard hand tools and power tools (drills, saws, conduit benders, multimeters, etc.) used in solar installation. I am able to lift, carry, and position solar panels and mounting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., including at elevation. I am able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, direct sunlight, wind, and cold for extended periods. I agree to wear and properly use all personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, harnesses, safety glasses, and non-slip footwear as required by SKI and OSHA standards. I understand that solar installation involves live electrical components and I will follow all safety protocols and instructor direction without exception. I understand that failure to honestly disclose any physical limitation that poses a safety risk to myself or others may result in immediate dismissal from the program without refund.

Student Code of Conduct & Attendance Commitment

SKI maintains a professional training environment. Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions, arrive on time, treat staff and fellow students with respect, and engage seriously with coursework. Consistent absences or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the program.
